The Ground in Bangkok, Thailand demonstrates how outdoor lighting can enhance atmosphere, visibility, and the overall visitor experience within a contemporary lifestyle environment. Featuring landscaped walkways, garden areas, water features, and outdoor circulation spaces, the project uses carefully placed illumination to create a comfortable and welcoming nighttime setting.

Unilamp PROTON SQUARE, NIXIE, and NOVA CAP luminaires were selected for their premium quality, reliable performance, and strong outdoor durability. Built with UniShield16 coating, these luminaires support different lighting needs across the project while maintaining consistent light output and a clean appearance within the landscape design.

PROTON SQUARE

PROTON SQUARE is a bollard luminaire designed for general outdoor illumination in landscaped areas and pedestrian spaces. At The Ground, PROTON SQUARE is installed along walkways and garden edges to provide soft, consistent lighting that improves nighttime visibility while blending naturally into the surrounding environment.

The luminaire features an opal polycarbonate lens built for long-term use, with resistance to impact and UV exposure. Its E27 lamp holder is compatible with compact fluorescent and retrofit LED lamps, making it a practical choice for outdoor projects that require dependable pathway lighting and easy maintenance.

 

NIXIE

NIXIE is a stainless steel underwater luminaire designed for use in fountains, pools, and decorative water features. In this project, NIXIE is used to illuminate water elements, helping create visual interest and a brighter focal point within the outdoor landscape.

Manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel, NIXIE is built for permanent underwater operation. The luminaire is suitable for a wide range of low-voltage retrofit LED lamps with GU5.3 socket and includes a 1.5-meter neoprene cable with epoxy-potted cable entry. It is designed for submersion in chlorinated swimming pools up to a depth of 1.5 meters.

 

NOVA CAP

NOVA CAP is a compact spotlight designed for ground or wall mounting. At The Ground, NOVA CAP is used to highlight trees, planting areas, and landscape details, adding depth and focus throughout the outdoor space.

Its small size makes it suitable for illuminating plants, architectural details, signage, and landscape features without drawing too much attention to the fixture itself. NOVA CAP is most effective for short- to medium-distance lighting and includes a twist-locked cover for simple lamp installation. The projector is available in main voltage with GU10 socket.
