Our Testing Laboratory was established to ensure that Unilamp's lighting products surpass the design and quality standards specified by international regulations and are accredited to ISO 17025 by internationally recognized ILAC MRA and NAC.
All Unilamp luminaires are tested in accordance with the requirements of the following international standards:
– Photometric Test
– Thermal Test (normal operation) Clause 12.4
– IP Test Clause 9.2
– Humidity Test
– Endurance Test
– IK Test
– Salt Spray Test
At Unilamp, we have an in-house testing facility that can test and issue full reports of IES LM-79-08 for our customers. The test method is carried out according to IES manuals and procedures.

→ Standard CIE 121-1996 (Accredited with ILAC & TISI)
→ Standard IES LM-79-08 (Accredited with ILAC & TISI)
→ Standard ANSI/IES LM-79-19 (Accredited with ILAC & TISI)
LM-79 testing captures performance characteristics of products that feature solid-state lighting (SSL) technology, including light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
This testing provides a snapshot of performance under specified operating conditions at some point in a product's life, usually at the beginning of operation— these are referred to as initial measurements. It does not address lifetime ratings, changing performance over time (e.g., lumen maintenance), or LED case temperature.
The LM-79 method applies to integrated LED products, such as luminaires and replacement lamps. It does not apply to LED packages, modules, or arrays (herein collectively called LED light sources).
LM-79 data enables objective product comparisons and allows for evaluation relative to performance requirements. Although LM-79 does not prescribe a report format or the minimum content, a substantial list of "typical items reported" is provided. Key measurements addressed in the test report include electrical characteristics, lumen output, spatial distribution of light, and color attributes.
Our LED luminaires are designed and tested under ambient thermal conditions Ta 40°C and 50°C.

Our product testing is second to none, and you can be assured that at Unilamp, a thorough product testing process is followed, both at our factory and at any of our partner's premises. All luminaires that carry the Unilamp trademark fall under our guidelines for manufacture.
All Unilamp products are measured by a Goniophotometer and/or Integrate Sphere, which gives a surety of lighting design, and all files are in IES and LDT format.
In 2023, Unilamp's testing laboratory denominates to Unilab while expanding the scope of accreditation.
