Unilamp Product Warranty

Unilamp is committed to delivering professional outdoor lighting solutions of exceptional quality, reliability, and long-term performance. This warranty reflects our commitment by clearly defining the scope of coverage, the responsibilities of both parties, and the conditions under which warranty service will be provided.

This warranty is intended to provide confidence to our customers while ensuring fair, transparent, and consistent warranty administration.

1. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies to all Unilamp luminaires and their integral mechanical and electrical components, including but not limited to:

  • Luminaire housing
  • Mechanical components
  • Mounting accessories supplied by Unilamp
  • Gaskets and seals
  • Glass covers
  • LED modules
  • LED control gear (drivers)
  • Factory-installed light sources
  • Poles manufactured by Unilamp (where applicable)

Polymer optical components are warranted against defects in material and workmanship. Changes resulting from normal ageing, prolonged UV exposure or environmental conditions are considered normal material characteristics and are not covered under this warranty.

This warranty applies only when the product has been installed, operated and maintained in accordance with Unilamp's installation instructions, technical documentation and intended application.

In the event of a valid warranty claim, Unilamp reserves the sole right, at its discretion, to determine whether the claim will be resolved by repairing the product, replacing the defective component, or replacing the complete product.

2. Warranty Period

Unilamp warrants that its products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years (60 months) from the date of shipment.

This warranty is transferable from the original purchaser to the end user, provided that Unilamp has been notified in writing of the transfer.

3. Unilamp's Responsibility

Should a product prove defective under the terms of this warranty, Unilamp shall repair or replace the product or defective component in accordance with Clause 1.

The customer shall provide:

  • Proof of purchase;
  • Product identification where available;
  • Photographs or other information reasonably requested by Unilamp;
  • Installation and operating information where required for technical evaluation.

Warranty coverage is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective product or component.

This warranty does not cover costs associated with:

  • Removal or reinstallation
  • Labour
  • Freight or transportation
  • Access equipment
  • Scaffolding
  • Cranes
  • Commissioning
  • Site testing
  • Travel expenses
  • Any other incidental expenses

Under no circumstances shall Unilamp be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.

4. Component Availability

During the warranty period, Unilamp will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of replacement parts and components required to service warranted products.

If original parts, components or complete products are no longer available, Unilamp reserves the right to repair the product using functionally equivalent components or replace the product with the same model or a functionally equivalent or superior product.

5. Conditions for Warranty Validity

This warranty shall remain valid only when:

5.1 Installation

The product has been installed by qualified personnel in accordance with the installation instructions supplied by Unilamp.

5.2 Intended Use

The product has been used only for its intended application and within the operating limits specified in the applicable product documentation.

5.3 Maintenance

The product has been maintained in accordance with Unilamp's maintenance recommendations and product documentation.

5.4 Electrical Protection

Where required by applicable electrical regulations or recommended by Unilamp, suitable surge protection devices (SPD) have been installed.

6. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to defects or failures resulting from:

6.1 Unauthorized Modification

Modification, repair or alteration of the product without prior written authorization from Unilamp.

6.2 Improper Installation or Maintenance

Improper installation, incorrect wiring, inadequate maintenance or failure to follow Unilamp installation instructions and specifications.

6.3 Misuse

Misuse, abuse, negligence, accidental damage, vandalism or installation in unsuitable applications.

6.4 Electrical Abnormalities

Power surges, lightning, unstable power supply, voltage fluctuations, electrical faults or operation outside the electrical ratings specified for the product.

6.5 Environmental Conditions

Operation in ambient temperatures or environmental conditions exceeding those specified for the product.

6.6 Corrosive or Aggressive Environments

Corrosion or deterioration resulting from exposure to aggressive environmental conditions beyond the product's intended environmental classification, including but not limited to:

  • Coastal or marine atmospheres;
  • Swimming pool facilities;
  • Chemical plants;
  • Fertilizer storage or processing facilities;
  • Acidic concrete;
  • Chlorinated water;
  • Untreated or chemically contaminated water;
  • Industrial pollutants;
  • Corrosive chemicals.

This exclusion does not apply where the product has been specifically designed and specified for such environments.

6.7 External Causes

Fire, flood, earthquake, storm, natural disaster, civil disturbance or any other external event beyond Unilamp's reasonable control.

6.8 Improper Storage

Improper storage prior to installation, excessive humidity, water ingress or unsuitable storage conditions.

6.9 Normal Wear

Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic deterioration that does not affect the intended function or performance of the product.

6.10 Cosmetic Changes

Minor scratches, paint imperfections, discoloration or changes in appearance occurring after installation that do not impair product performance.

6.11 Lack of Documentation

Failure to provide satisfactory proof of purchase when requested.

7. Warranty Claims

Warranty claims shall be submitted through Unilamp or an authorized Unilamp distributor.

Unilamp may request photographs, technical information or the return of the product for inspection before determining warranty eligibility.

Products shall not be returned without prior authorization from Unilamp.

8. Limitation of Warranty

This warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Unilamp and replaces all other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where prohibited by applicable law.

No distributor, dealer, representative or other person is authorized to modify or extend this warranty on behalf of Unilamp.

9. Governing Law

This warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Warranty Revisions

Unilamp reserves the right to amend or discontinue this warranty for future product shipments without prior notice. Such amendments shall not affect products already supplied under the warranty terms applicable at the date of shipment.
