Product Warranty

1. General

This warranty is applicable to all Unilamp luminaires including their mechanical and electrical components such as housing gaskets, glass, mounting material, LED control gear, light source and poles. Optical grade covers made of polymer are covered by their function only. Provided that the installation and use of the product is in compliance with their intended use.

Unilamp is free to decide at its own discretion to repair or replace the claimed product with the same or equivalent product.

 2. Duration

For a period of five years (60-months) from the date of shipment or from the installation registration date with Unilamp, Unilamp warrants the supplied material to be free from defects of material and/or workmanship.

The product warranty is transferable from the original procurer to the user, only if Unilamp is notified of the user by the procurer.

3. Unilamp’s responsibility

Unilamp’s liability is limited to repairing or replacing parts or products without charge, in case of damage or failure of the product (see article 5.3 for specific conditions to this damage or failure). The buyer must provide proof of purchaser and adequate information of operating history if required by Unilamp. Unilamp assumes to replace or repair products with no responsibility for installation, labor, or shipping costs. Unilamp shall not be liable to the buyer for indirect or consequential damages.

4. Component availability

Unilamp will provide parts and components, of equal specification, to repair the warranted product up to the warranted duration.

5. Validity

5.1 The warranty shall be only valid provided that:

1. The products is installed by trained staff in accordance with the supplied product specific installation instruction.
2. The product use and installation location is in compliance with the technical product specification.
3. Product maintenance was carried out by trained staff according to the product documentation.

5.2 The warranty is void, if claimed damage is proved to have resulted from:

1. Products modified or repaired without written consent, improperly installed or lacked maintenance as prescribed in Unilamp’s installation instructions and specifications.
2. Installed in an inappropriate area and/or misused products.
3. External causes such as fires, earthquakes, floods, thunderstorms, vandalism, unstable power supply, power surges or dips.
4. Excessive, abnormal or unusual operating conditions or applications.
5. Defects to paint or finish caused by direct contact with acidic concrete, fertilizers, chemical substances, electrical currents, untreated water, water containing corrosive agents or fertilizers.
6. Electrical current surges that are caused by lightning or other occurrences.
7. Improper installation.
8. Defects caused by typical and expected wear and tear.
9. Installations where ambient temperatures or conditions exceed those recommended for the fixture.
10. Electrical current and voltage limits exceeding that specified on the control gear or product datasheet.
11. No appropriate provisions have been made to suppress electrical surges.
12. The customer is not able to present the purchase invoice for the products.

Unilamp reserves the right to modify or discontinue this warranty without prior notice.
