
Unilamp Is Hiring: Back Office Support Manager – India
Unilamp is seeking an experienced Back Office Support Manager to support specification-led business operations across India. This role is ideal for a senior professional with strong experience in the lighting industry, capable of managing proposals, documentation, and coordination across sales, technical teams, and factory operations.
Position Overview
The Back Office Support Manager will be responsible for supporting Unilamp’s Regional Business Development activities in India. The role focuses on managing enquiries, preparing proposals, coordinating technical and factory requirements, and ensuring accurate documentation for specification-driven and project-based lighting solutions.
The position is ideally based in Mumbai (Any other location will consider), India, supporting projects primarily across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming enquiries from Regional BDMs and customers and prepare suitable proposals aligned with Unilamp solutions
- Develop detailed Unilamp proposals in Indian Rupees (INR) according to BDM and customer requirements, including product specifications
- Coordinate with Thailand factory teams regarding product modifications and technical requirements
- Maintain and manage a centralized quotation and project documentation database
- Extract Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from client-provided AutoCAD drawings
- Create wiring diagrams for confirmed projects when required
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accuracy of product information in all proposals
- Manage and maintain back-office operations and related documentation
- Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and industry trends
- Assist in the preparation of monthly sales reports and forecasts for head office
- Ensure all proposal preparations comply with company policies and industry regulations
- Liaise closely with the Bangkok ES Sales Support Team regarding Indian operations
- Attend local workshops, exhibitions, and industry fairs to enhance market and competitor knowledge
Required Qualifications
- Ideally minimum 3 years of experience in the back office support system.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with logistics, shipping systems, payment, and credit processes
- Good awareness of market dynamics, competitors, and customer profiles
- Proven ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong coordination, planning, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
